Debtor Tracing — Service Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to the debtor tracing service provided by UK Bailiff Services Ltd. They should be read alongside any order confirmation or email correspondence relating to your instruction.

1) Scope of Service

• We conduct searches to identify a subject’s current verified UK residential address (“Trace Result”).
• Outputs typically include the verified address and brief verification notes. Additional indicators (e.g., telephone/email, address history) may be provided where lawfully available and proportionate to the search tier.

2) Lawful & Legitimate Use

• Services are provided for legitimate purposes such as debt recovery, civil enforcement, legal proceedings, tenancy/property matters, or other lawful contractual interests.
• Prohibited uses include personal, spousal, or family/relationship matters unless instructed via a solicitor or authorised legal representative.

3) Turnaround

• Standard aim: results within 7 working days of instruction.
• Complex or data-sensitive cases may take up to 30 days, depending on dataset availability and verification requirements.

4) Accuracy & Limitations

• Trace Results are compiled from licensed, reputable sources believed accurate at the time of search. Data availability varies and cannot guarantee future occupancy.
• Unless expressly agreed, we do not disclose underlying data sources or provide full dataset extracts.
• A Trace Result indicates a verified current residential address; it does not constitute a credit reference or financial advice.

5) Your Obligations

• Provide accurate information and any identifiers you hold (e.g., full name, last known address, date of birth) to enable proportionate and lawful searching.
• Use any Trace Result strictly for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable legislation and court rules (e.g., service of process requirements).

6) Fees & Delivery

• Pricing is shown on the webpage or confirmation (e.g., “From £99 + VAT”). Any additional work or expanded scope will be agreed before proceeding.
• Reports are delivered electronically to the instructing party’s nominated email address.

7) Data Protection

• Processing is carried out in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, using a lawful basis such as legitimate interests.
• Personal data is used solely to perform the trace and is retained securely for the minimum period necessary to fulfil and evidence the instruction and compliance obligations.

8) Confidentiality

• We treat instructions and Trace Results as confidential and disclose them only to you (and your authorised representatives) or as required by law.

9) Liability

• We exercise reasonable skill and care in performing the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fee paid for the relevant instruction and excludes indirect or consequential loss.

10) Changes, Suspension & Refusal

• We may decline or suspend a search where lawful basis, proportionality, or compliance cannot be evidenced, or where a prohibited purpose is indicated.
• We may make minor amendments to these terms to reflect legal or operational updates; the latest version on our website applies.

11) Governing Law

• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
